Masterpieces of the Post-Apocalyptic Genre

#1
We are inspired by the first two games of the "Fallout" series and the "Roadside Picnic".
There are many more games, books, and movies devoted to the post-apocalyptic genre.

Feel free to tell us about your favorites - it is always refreshing to get some additional inspiration!

Wasteland is also a good source of inspiration. The fact is, that your game is going to be sci-fi as you mentioned, and Wasteland is just THAT -robots, mechanics, weird stuff and advanced technology. Also takes place in a desert.

Check out Original War game - its a Czech isometric strategy game, there is this alien artefact named Eon - which allows one to travel back in time - to approximately 2 millions of years back to a pre historic era when saber tooth tigers and mammoths used to live. I personally love this game most among all the games I know, as the Original War story and the way it was made is simply unique, original, replayable and awesome single-player experience. In the game, player also advanced immensely in technology, much further than what we have today in 2018 - with help of studying the alien technology. Doing something similar for your game might be cool. Take an advantage of an alien technologies to create new ones.

YOU should aim for originality and uniqueness. Those are most valuable in game industry nowadays, I suppose.

Originality and uniqueness are among our goals. There is going to be actually more to the sci-fi in our game than in Wasteland, and there should be a lot more to alien artefacts than in Original War - the space under the Dome is literally crawling with alien artefacts.

Thanks for the Original War, by the way. Never heard about it, and it looks pretty interesting.
